LEARNING SEUDAH SHLISHIT NEW "SEMESTER" BEGINS THIS SHABBAT! Ahavas Achim University proudly presents the Fall 2018 Learning Seudah Shlishit. This is your weekly opportunity to elevate the last minutes of Shabbat with learning, and transform the end of the day into moments of study and growth. We cordially invite you to select from the buffet of refreshments, and then select one of the groups (listed in the newsletter) to join! You are welcome to sample all of the learning options, or stay with the same facilitator throughout the semester.

AAU ADVANCED GEMARA BEGINS THIS MONDAY, OCTOBER 22: Ahavas Achim University presents a new Monday night Gemara learning experience, beginning this Monday, October 22 at 8:30 p.m. in the Beit Midrash. Facilitated by Rabbi Miodownik, each week the group will study a short portion of the Talmud as a group, and then will be given the opportunity to tackle selected Rishonim and Achronim on the Gemara in small groups or chavrutot. This will provide a more in-depth study of each topic in the Gemara. We will be studying portions of the tenth chapter of Pesachim ("Arvei Pesachim") which details the intricate laws of the Pesach Seder.

GETTING TO KNOW YOU MEALS: Ahavas Achim presents Getting to Know You Meals. Meet new families in our community over Shabbat lunch or dinner! This program will run from November 16-February 23, culminating in a community-wide Shabbat Echad Event on March 2. Help us reach 100% participation!
